To start, 345 California received the Fitwel certification for health and wellness strategies that positively impact our building occupants’ health. Fitwel is the world’s leading certification system committed to building health and was created in part by the CDC.

Metropolis also collaborated with UL as an early adopter of their new voluntary program for real estate owners who want to demonstrate their commitment to delivering healthy indoor environments through an extensive process of indoor air testing and assessment. 345 California proudly received the UL Verified Healthy Building Mark for Indoor Air– another significant milestone in our BeWell™ Promise.

USGBC launched new LEED Safety First Credits in late 2020 as part of its Healthy Economy Strategy that addresses concerns related to the pandemic and building re-entry. 345 California was one of the first commercial office buildings to proactively pursue these new credits and add to the existing LEED Platinum certification. We are proud to announce that we earned the Safety First Cleaning and Disinfecting credit that validates that the janitorial best practices align with public health and industry guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting.

Through our BeWell Promise, Metropolis will continue focusing on the health, wellness, and sustainability of the workplace. BeWell!
